Dedicated to continue to educate youth throughout the diocese and to provide services to the community, especially the economically poor. B.S. and M.S. in Education, and Certified Reading Teacher from College of St. Rose. Past Experience includes being an Elementary Ed Teacher for Albany & Syracuse Diocese, Principal of St. Agnes School, and Supervisor & Coordinator of Student Teachers for College of Saint Rose. Responsibilities range from the operation, funding, and management of Sunnyside Center, including fiscal and program planning, staffing, policy development, fund-raising, and quality review. Other responsibilities include: coordinating, supervising, directing staff and programs, consultation, technical assistance, and public relations. Positions include being part of the Board of Directors for Sunnyside Center, and Advisory Board for Unified Family Services Department for Youth, River Front Partnership, and Catholic Charities Staff Development Committee, and Catholic Charities Board Development Committee. Some committees include Rensselaer County Community Presence Committee, School Alliance/Seton Health Committee, Catholic Charities Welfare Reform Committee, United Child Care Work Group Committee, Coalition for After School Funding, Troy School/Health Collaborative Committee, and the Troy School & Business Alliance. City of Troy, New York PROCLAMATION For Sister Claudette Harris WHEREAS, Sister Claudette Harris, C.S.J. has been the Executive Director of the Sunnyside Center for over eighteen years; and WHEREAS, Sister Claudette Harris has insured the financial success of Sunnyside Center by securing funding for countless projects including a new playground, a pavilion and a heating system; and WHEREAS, Sister Claudette Harris has assisted in improving the lives of thousands of children in the North Central area of Troy; and WHEREAS, Sister Claudette Harris has worked successfully with many community agencies and schools to provide assistance to some of Troy's most needy families; and WHEREAS, the selfless efforts of Sister Claudette Harris have provided a safe and nurturing place for children; and WHEREAS, Sister Claudette Harris is truly the "Heart and Soul" of Sunnyside Center; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that the Troy City Council and Mayor Mark P.
