After School Positions: After School Program Coordinator: To be responsible for the effective implementation and execution of the Sunnyside After School Program consistent with the philosophy, policies and procedures of Catholic Charities and Sunnyside Center. Qualifications: Associate Degree required, Bachelors Degree preferred. Experience working with children ages 5-12 years old. Strong communication skills. Strong organizational skills. Ability to manage stress appropriately, make decisions under pressure, and handle multiple priorities. After School Program Assistants: To plan, direct and supervise after school activities within the Sunnyside After School Program consistent with the philosophy, objectives, policies and procedures of Catholic Charities and Sunnyside Center. This position is part time and occurs during the school year, after school hours. Persons in this position are subject to a background check for any history of child neglect or abuse. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience working with children ages 5-12 years old. Strong communication skills. Ability to manage stress appropriately, make decisions under pressure, and handle multiple priorities. Must be 18 years old. Computer Instructor: To administer the computers component of Sunnyside Center's After School Program consistent with the philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Catholic Charities and Sunnyside Center. This position is part time. Qualifications: Associates degree in technology, education, or a related field. Experience working with children ages 5-12 years old. Strong communication skills. Strong organizational skills. Ability to manage stress appropriately, make decisions under pressure, and handle multiple priorities. Must be twenty years old. Arts & Crafts Instructor: To administer the arts & crafts component of Sunnyside Center's After School Program consistent with the philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Catholic Charities and Sunnyside Center. This position is part time. Qualifications: Art degree or presently pursuing one, or two years experience in an art-related field. Experience working with children ages 5-12 years old. Ability to manage stress appropriately, make decisions under pressure, and handle multiple priorities. Must be twenty years old. After School Data Entry Clerk: To perform data entry work and other clerical duties consistent with the philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Catholic Charities and Sunnyside Center. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in data entry, typing, filing, recordkeeping, word processing, and other clerical work. Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office applications. Strong communication skills. Strong organizational skills. Ability to manage stress appropriately, make decisions under pressure, and handle multiple priorities. Summer Positions: Sunnyside offering positions in the After School and Day Care Programs. Counselors: work with children outdoors, carry out camp programs, and make sure every child has fun. Minimum age: 18 (17 with working papers). Computer Instructors: part time position, general organization and upkeep of computer area and equipment, inventory of equipment, prepare age-appropriate activities for children, carry out computer activities with children, and experience in camping and supervision of children or completed Summer Camp Orientation Course. Minimum age: 20. Arts and Craft Instructors: actively supervise campers during arts and crafts, general organization and upkeep of the arts and crafts room, inventory of supplies, prepare age-appropriate activities for children, carry out special projects with children, an arts degree or presently working on one, or a three years experience, and have experience in camping and supervision of children or have completed Summer Orientation Course. Minimum age: 20. Academic Enrichment Instructors: part time position, general organization and upkeep of area and equipment, inventory of equipment, prepare age-appropriate activities for children, carry out activities with children, and experience in camping and supervision of children or completed Summer Camp Orientation Course.
